JVS Lighting Workshops

http://offcameraflash.com/?p=90 From JVS blog: JVS is hosting back to back 2 Day Lighting Workshops at our Dallas studio this fall! Each Workshop will be limited to a maximum of 15 shooters and a minimum of 10. After teaching a few of these, we’ve realized that 12-15 shooters is the perfect number and allows use to get to know each and every shooter personally. Dallas in October is the perfect time of year! JVS 2 Day Lighting Workshop October 6-7th, 2009 or JVS 2 Day Lighting Workshop October 13-14th, 2009

Composition - Mergers

Watch out for mergers...and I don't mean the corporate kind. When you take an image, pay attention to the background. No one looks good with a tree or a flower or a goal post growing out of their head. Make sure that the colors in your subject do not bleed over into the background image as well.

I know this rule sounds kinda common sense but it's still one of the things you have to watch out for.

Until the next compositional rule review, keep the shutters click'n!
