Beginning Photography with Digital Cameras
Sarah Meghan Lee
February 28 - March 6, 2010

This workshop is filling quickly. Please call soon to register (505) 983-1400, ext. 11.
This start-from-scratch workshop takes beginning photographers from the basics of exposure, manipulation of depth of field, and shutter speed to the ultimate goal of creating more compelling photographs with their digital SLR cameras. Over the course of a week, we build a solid technical foundation that enables us to take the photographs we’ve always wanted to take.
We learn to be comfortable with our cameras by understanding manual modes of exposure, depth of field, and focus. Subsequent discussions cover such topics as composition, lenses, natural light, and difficult lighting situations. Participants are on the move with Sarah, practicing new skills during daily field trips around beautiful Santa Fe. She encourages an energetic and creative atmosphere that builds confidence in photographic abilities and personal vision. At the end of the week, we leave Santa Fe with an energized feeling about our photography and a collection of new images that illustrate our growth, both technically and creatively.
