The Journey - The Shutter Goes Click

“It is by acts and not by ideas that people live.”

~ Anatole France a French poet, journalist, and novelist (1844-1924)

It was nearly four years ago that I started down this path, the path of photography. I started by taking pictures at Matthew’s soccer matches and gave a few away to other parents. We took a vacation that year, the first I had taken in a number of years and while on the trip I took several rolls of film. In all the bill was over $200.00 from the photos of soccer and vacation.

Of course that does not sound like much but when you consider I was still snapping away. Shannon told me I should invest in a digital camera. At first I didn't care for the idea but then I started to think why not film is free and I would only have to develop or print the image that are really good.

After a little research I took the plunge and purchased a Canon DSLR, the Canon Rebel XT. It was the start of a long road and one I still do not see the end of.
