Leading lines or lines of any kind can help make a stronger composition. How many times have you sat in some non-descript waiting room and looked at a picture of a road vanishing into the distance. You know the ones I'm talking about. My Dad has several great examples in his work, one of which used to hang on my living room wall. His was of a leaf strewn road in the fall of the year. The road just seemed to invite you down it.
Roads however are no the only way to get leading lines into an image. Take ofr example the image I have above. See how the rocks lead you from the corner of the image out into the ocean. That is an example of a leading line. The perfect image wold have had something more than seaweed for your eyes to go to. However the image was shot while on a business trip, not a photography trip.
'till next time...keep the shutters click'n and try out some leading lines!
